How do Butterfly Sheets work?

Butterfly Sheets use a wider flat sheet, so each person gets more sheet to use.

The flat sheet connects to the fitted sheet down the center of the bed. The top and bottom stay open, while the middle stays connected.

This gives each person their own side of the flat sheet through the middle of the bed, while still letting you cuddle at the top and move or tuck your feet at the bottom.

How do Butterfly Sheets help with cover stealing?

The flat sheet is wider to give each person more covers.

Instead of sharing one loose flat sheet, each person has their own side of the flat sheet through the connected middle.

The center connection also helps keep the flat sheet centered instead of letting the whole sheet move back and forth as one loose piece.

Can Butterfly Sheets help me keep my side of the bed?

They can help keep each person’s side of the flat sheet clearly divided through the middle of the bed.

Butterfly Sheets do not make your mattress bigger, but the design helps keep the flat sheet centered and gives each person their own part of the sheet.

Do both people get the same amount of sheet?

Yes. Butterfly Sheets are made with equal sides, so each person starts with their own share of the flat sheet.

Can I still cuddle?

Absolutely. The top of the flat sheet stays open, so you can still cuddle and get close.

The center connection runs through the middle part of the bed, giving each person their own side of the flat sheet while they sleep.

Why is the bottom of the sheet open?

The bottom stays open so each person can move their feet and legs.

It also lets each person choose whether to tuck or untuck their side.

Will Butterfly Sheets feel restrictive?

Butterfly Sheets do not split the whole bed in two.

The top and bottom stay open, so you can still cuddle, move your feet and legs, and tuck or untuck your side.

Can the covers still move during the night?

Yes. Butterfly Sheets do not lock you or your covers in place.

Butterfly Sheets are made from 66% polyester and 34% viscose for a soft, lightweight feel.

Why use a polyester and viscose blend?

Polyester helps make the sheets strong and durable. Viscose gives them a smooth, soft feel.

Together, they make a soft sheet for everyday use.

Are Butterfly Sheets OEKO-TEX® certified?

Yes. Butterfly Sheets are OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified and tested for harmful substances.

What does 100 GSM mean?

GSM tells you how heavy the fabric is.

Butterfly Sheets are 100 GSM, which gives them a lightweight feel.

Are Butterfly Sheets lightweight?

Yes. Butterfly Sheets are made with lightweight 100 GSM fabric.

Will the sheets wrinkle or shrink?

Following the care instructions will help your Butterfly Sheets keep their fit, feel, and look over time.

What mattress types do Butterfly Sheets work with?

Butterfly Sheets are made for standard Queen, King, and California King mattresses.

Do Butterfly Sheets work with mattress toppers?

Yes, as long as your mattress and topper together are no more than 16 inches deep.

How deep are the fitted-sheet pockets?

Butterfly Sheets fit mattresses up to 16 inches deep.

What sizes are available?

Butterfly Sheets are currently available in:

  • Queen

  • King

  • California King

How do I know which end goes at the head of the bed?

Butterfly Sheets include head and foot tags to make putting the sheet on your bed easier.

Care & Washing

Are Butterfly Sheets easy to wash?

Yes. We recommend folding the sheets along the center connection before putting them in the washing machine.

This helps keep the fitted sheet from wrapping around the flat sheet while it washes.

How should I wash Butterfly Sheets?

For best results:

  • Fold along the center connection before washing

  • Machine wash cold with like colors

  • Tumble dry low or hang dry

  • Follow the care instructions on the product label

Will Butterfly Sheets stay soft over time?

Proper washing and care will help keep the fabric soft over time.

Shipping

How long does shipping take?

Orders are processed within 3 business days and shipped by standard ground shipping.

Delivery time will depend on your location and the carrier.

Will I receive tracking information?

Yes. We will send tracking information once your order ships.

Returns & Refunds

What is your return policy?

We offer returns on eligible items within 30 days of delivery.

What items can be returned?

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be returned within 30 days of delivery

  • The product must be unused

  • The product must be in its original packaging

For hygiene reasons, used Butterfly Sheets cannot be returned.

Can I return Butterfly Sheets after sleeping on them?

No. For hygiene reasons, Butterfly Sheets that have been used cannot be returned.

How do I start a return?

Email hello@butterflysheets.com and include:

  • Your order number

  • The item you would like to return

  • The reason for your return

Once your return is approved, we will send you return instructions.

Please do not send a return before contacting us.

Who pays for return shipping?

Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the item is defective or we made an error with your order.

Are original shipping costs refundable?

Original shipping costs are not refundable unless the return is due to a defective item or an error on our part.

How long do refunds take?

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will let you know if your refund has been approved.

Approved refunds will be sent to your original payment method within 7 business days.

Your bank or credit card company may take extra time to post the refund.

What if my order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect?
